General
- No drivers are required. Plug
it in, and it works on Windows 95/98/NT/ME/2K/XP or Linux or any
other system that supports a standard PS/2 keyboard and/or PS/2
mouse for the PS/2 model and a USB port for the PS/2 model with
a USB Adapter.
- PS/2 Model: With the optional USB
Adapter, it works with Windows95/98/ME/2K/XP, Linux, Mac/iMac
or other USB supported system. (Note that Windows NT does not
support USB).
- With the optional PS/2->USB adapter, both
mouse and keyboard are converted to USB. Use it in parallel with
existing keyboard and mouse on your PC.
- Both mouse and keyboard PS/2 connectors on
the Twiddler2-PS/2 carry BOTH mouse and keyboard signals.
On many laptops, there is a single PS/2 input which senses BOTH
mouse and keyboard signals. This makes it very covenient to be
able to plug in a single connector and have both mouse and keyboard
functions.
- The Twiddler2 uses the IBM Trackpoint
with a button under the thumb.
- Download new character mappings over the PS/2
connection from a Windows 98 PC.
- Assign a scan-code to a key combination, or
create a new macro on-the-fly.
